Ed Barr, Piano; Conductor & Arranger

Ed Barr is a native Valdostan and a graduate of Valdosta State College and the University of Georgia. He has done additional graduate study at FSU, and the Peabody Conservatory. Barr served as band director at VJHS, Charlton Co HS and Campbell HS before joining the music faculty at VSU where he taught for 35 years. While at VSU Barr worked in all areas of instrumental music and music education. He has played in bands since he led his first dance band when a sophomore at VHS. Today, in addition to serving as pianist for the Robert Plummer Band, he plays piano with his trio and conducts his 20 piece jazz dance orchestra.
Chris Williams, Drums

Chris Williams received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Music from Valdosta State College,
his Master of Arts in Music Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Teacher Certification from the University of Georgia. He is a former band director, percussion curriculum creator and instructor for the Barrow County Schools. He has resided as the principal timpanist with the Albany Symphony since 2000 , guest principal timpanist with the Valdosta & Macon Symphonies and on drumset with local jazz groups and churches. His teachers include David Morris, Paul Campiglia, Mark Yancich, Gary Olmstead, and Jack Stamp. Chris was a band director in Barrow County before getting into the music retail business. He has been on the faculty as adjunct percussion professor at Valdosta State University and is currently the founder and CEO of Custom Masking Products, LLC, in Valdosta, GA. His other interests include computer repair, video editing, keyboard & amp repair as well as fishing. He lives in Valdosta with his wife, Jill, and their two daughters Abby and Ally.
